Welcome to Sew Santa Barbara, where stitching dreams and spreading creativity is our goal.
We offer a wide range of products to inspire and support our community of textile enthusiasts.
Check out our new classes!
In addition to our continuing classes including Begnning and Intermediate Sewing, as well as Free-Motion and Ruler Work Quilting, we’re happy to introduce you to:
“Stitch & Sip Nights” a monthly get together (every first Wednesday of the month) for sewing crafts.
“Fiber & Friends Sip Nights” a monthly get together (every second Wednesday of the month) for fiber crafts.
“Crafty Thursdays” focusing on a single project that you can make easily and in one sitting.
“Creative Stitch Sundays” every third Sunday of the month where you can join in the sewing and fiber community to work on your own project with guidance from our in-house sewing and fiber mentor, Tim.
Go to the Classes & Events tab to check it all out. And, we’ll be continuing to add more classes.
New Fabric!
We’ve received an order of rayons with Australian aboriginal prints. The patterns on these bright fabrics have names like “Onions Crying” and “Bush Berries”. The patterns are detailed and eye-catching while the fabric is light and soft to the touch. These will make a great choice for shirts, dresses, skirts, and cover-ups. Come it to see them for yourself.
We’re also very excited to announce that we’ve found a wonderful source for silk. Whether you’re looking for hand-painted masterpieces to create your one-of-a-kind project, chiffons, charmeuse, lining and all other kinds of silk, we’ve got you covered. We have some silks in the shop in small quantities and will be ordering more as we figure out what to choose first!
