Sewing for Kids: May Session

In this fun, hands-on class, kids will learn the basics of hand and machine sewing while discovering the joy of turning fabric into something special. From threading a needle to completing their first projects, participants will build skills and confidence step-by-step. Along the way, they will explore their creativity, develop patience, and experience the satisfaction of making something with their own hands. Whether it’s a simple pillowcase, a drawstring pouch, or an apron, each project is designed to be easy, exciting, and rewarding for young makers!

Skill Level: Beginner, age 8 and over

Price: $220 (Includes a $20 materials fee)

Working with the book, School of Sewing, (not included) develop knowledge and transferable skills. You will start with the basics of materials and tools, and learn how to take care of a sewing machine. You’ll then learn the basics of sewing - safety, planning, measuring, cutting and fixing mistakes! You will work through three project including a pillowcase and a zippered pouch.
