Festive Garment Pop-up Event

Bring a sweater or sweatshirt or other garment you’d like to make festive for the holidays and we’ll have the felt, bells, ribbons and patterns (with samples) to embellish the festive garment of your dreams! It’s a great opportunity to create something special with your kids, grandkids, friends, family, or on your own. We’ll have hot chocolate.tea, and treats. Or, pop next door to purchase a glass of wine at the Goodland Wine Shop!

Cut out snowmen, snowflakes, trees, holly leaves and berries, or whatever you would like! We will have examples of some of the things we create, pictures of others, and patterns you can use. We’ll also provide felt, multi-color pompoms in two sizes to use for decorating, permanent fabric glue, ribbons, needles and thread, fabric scissors, and even little jingle bells! While we’ll be around for extra help, we kindly ask that an adult stay by their young children’s side to guide them, as we won’t be able to supervise. It’s sure to be a fun, creative, bonding time where your imaginations can truly flow!

Date: Saturday, December 6th

Time: Pop-in to the Pop-up any time between 1pm to 5pm (Just be sure to have enough time to finish your project.)

Cost: $10.00/person

Ramble is coming!

The first of the Ramble fabrics and the pattern will be available in January for in-store pickup (free) or to be shipped ($40 total for the whole program). The program starts in February sewing the center block then adding subsequent strips.

The RAMBLE Block of the Month quilt is the perfect way to explore a beautiful harmony of colors and values, with a modern twist.

Each round demonstrates a wide range of techniques that will build the skills of novice quilters and will be a fun play day for the experts. Techniques include traditional piecing, strip piecing and an easy no-tear paper piecing and gentle curves. (The finished Quilt size is 85” x 88”.)

With a full compliment of video tutorials and online learning support for all the BOM participants, Tara will share her tips and tricks for each step of the way, ensuring everyone has a great time and comes away with a beautiful quilt!

Sew Santa Barbara will be providing additional support! In the Ramble Class teacher Carole Frye will demo the latest challenge and watch while you start in on your next block. Plus, if you miss a class or have fallen behind, Carole will help to catch you up!

Click here, or on the quilt, for details.
